Clear acne , scars, oily skin, pimples oil clots, blackheads

During the menstrual cycle, pregnancy and menopause, the level of androgen fluctuates, thereby stimulating the oil glands into producing more oil. Hereditary could also play a role in oily skin and it is likely to run in families. Hot and humid weather usually makes the skin oilier than usual. Excessive washing of the skin can also lead to oily skin as it strips away the natural lubricating oils of the skin. To compensate for this loss of oil, the glands increase their production and this may cause the skin to become oily. Oily skin is prone to many blemishes such as pimples and spots.
A proper skin care regimen is essential for healthy skin. Use mild products that are gentle on the skin and do not contain too many chemical ingredients. Wash the face regularly, but not excessively and moisturize after every wash. Even oily skin requires moisturizing and you can use a light moisturizer that is specially suited for oily skin. Your diet must also be regulated so that it contains plenty of vegetables and fruits. Nutritional deficiencies can result in skin problems and a deficiency of vitamin B 12 is known to cause oily skin. Consume beans, nuts and whole grains as these are rich in vitamin B 12. Drink lots of water and fruits juices to flush out the toxins from the body.
A beneficial face pack for oily skin can be made with tomato pulp. Tomato has astringent properties which cleans the pores effectively and tightens them. You can also make a paste of sandalwood powder and water and apply to the face and neck. Another effective remedy is to apply a paste of turmeric powder, flour and lemon juice. Cucumber paste or juice may also be applied to the skin in order to reduce the oiliness. After washing the face, apply witch hazel to the skin using a cotton ball. This will absorb the excess oil from the skin and close the pores. Skin that is oily and affected with pimples can be treated with a solution of rose water and lemon juice. A mask of clay and lemon juice is also effective in cleansing the skin and drawing out the excess oil.
